Sustainability

Ventus Capital AS integrates sustainability risk into its investment decisions. Sustainability risk means an environmental, social or governance event or condition that, if it occurs, could cause an actual or potential material negative impact on the value of an investment. 

Sustainability risk is integrated into our ordinary investment and risk analysis, including through the assessment of relevant environmental, social and governance matters at portfolio companies, both prior to and throughout the ownership period. This assessment is weighted equally alongside other risk factors that may affect returns and value development. 

Ventus Capital does not currently consider the principal adverse impacts of its investment decisions on sustainability factors under the detailed, indicator-based methodology set out in the SFDR.

This reflects the size of the company and the fact that sufficiently quality-assured data from portfolio companies is not yet available to report meaningfully against the mandatory indicators. Ventus Capital will reassess this position as the company and the underlying data improve. 

Ventus Capital's remuneration policy is designed to be consistent with, and to promote, sound and effective risk management, including the management of sustainability risk. The remuneration policy does not encourage risk-taking that is inconsistent with the company's sustainability risk policy. 

Ventus Capital does not currently manage any funds that promote environmental or social characteristics (Article 8), or that have sustainable investment as their objective (Article 9). Should this change, relevant product-specific sustainability information will be published here and in the relevant fund's subscription documentation.
