Ventus Capital Acquires Portfolio of Technology Companies

Ventus Capital has acquired Posten Bring’s majority stake in Y3 Gruppen AS, a holding company with ownership interests in five Norwegian technology and consulting companies: Data Factory, BAS, Netlife, Optinn, and Conteir.

The transaction marks Ventus Capital’s first portfolio acquisition and is structured through a dedicated fund vehicle created specifically for this investment — demonstrating the firm’s ability to provide flexible, bespoke financing solutions for sellers looking to create liquidity efficiently.

“We are pleased to complete our first portfolio transaction and, with it, invest in five exciting and profitable technology and consulting companies. We have followed these companies closely for some time, and together with their management teams and shareholders, we have established a solid plan for continued value creation.”

— Kristian Huseby, Partner, Ventus Capital

All five companies operate at the intersection of data, digital services, and customer-facing technology — sectors where Ventus Capital has deep domain expertise and a focused investment thesis.

“All of the companies are well-positioned for the technological shifts that both we and their customers are navigating right now. Data Factory, for example, is a perfect fit for our investment focus on data and infrastructure that enables the use of AI solutions.”

— Kristian Huseby, Partner, Ventus Capital

“Posten Bring has been a long-term owner of Y3 Gruppen for over 20 years. During this period, Y3 Gruppen has developed into a solid and exciting business, but it lies outside Posten Bring’s core operations. We are very pleased to have found new owners in Ventus Capital, who have clear ambitions for the continued growth and development of the companies. This is a transaction both parties are very satisfied with, and we look forward to continued close collaboration with Y3 Gruppen’s companies in the years ahead.”

— Morten Stødle, Chairman of the Board, Y3 Gruppen
